What is the Petpet Labray?
Petpet Labray is a new device that enables you to zap your Neopet's petpet. It works like the labray, but for your petpet!
What colors can petpets be zapped into?
Pretty much any color, but some colors are exclusively only from the petpet labray. These include, but are not limited to: jelly, gold, chocolate, and strawberry.
Who owns the petpet labray?
Word has it, the crazed labray technician's kookith invented and owns this mysterious device.
Do you need the full Neopet labmap to get the petpet labray?
Yes, sorry.
How does one gain access to this petpet labray?
By collecting all nine pieces of the petpet laboratory map, just like you do with the Neopet maps.

How do you get pieces of the petpet lab map?
Random events, shop wizard, auctions, and trades. Maybe even landing some luck at the money tree?
Do they change color only, or species too?
Yes, species as well. There may be some limitations.
Are zaps limited to color and species only?
They can change color, species, maybe even level. Sometimes it could even disintegrate your petpet!
Will anything happen to my petpetpet if I zap my petpet?
It could be scarred for life? Radiation? Nah, only joking. Your petpetpet will be fine. Just don't try and think you can make profit and detach your petpet. As I said before, the petpet goes back to the way it was when it was purchased.

HARDER PPL!!!! There will be a notice under your petpet saying that you did indeed zap that Neopet which will restrict any PPL wins. Taken from New Features page: "Note - The Petpet Protection League does not condone the use of such experiments and any Petpets found to have been zapped will be disqualified from their PPL award."

What are the map pieces full name exactly? I haven't even seen one.

Will I have the ability to get aged-petpet avatars if my petpet is labbed into such results?
I'm fairly sure they'd allow that seeing as the only 'consequence' known so far is not making it in the PPL. I think resetting thousands or millions of dates after a while would create a very grumpy server or two. I'll change this theory if proven otherwise.

There are two ways - Games - Puzzles - Treasure Maps - Petpet Lab. (remember you MUST have regular labray to see this!)

If my petpet gets zapped to a krawk, and I take it to the fungus caves, will it turn into a krawk?
No, you CANNOT DO THIS. There have been INCIDENTS before Neopets fixed this glitch where people were able to make their zapped krawks into actual Neopets. However, this is no longer the case. Sad, eh?

How will I know if a painted petpet is genuine or not?
If a petpet was zapped, underneath it, it will have
"[ Zapped by the Petpet Lab Ray]"
The new avatar looks awfully like something that came from the Petpet Labray. Could it be?
Yes, if your pet is zapped into a Pile of Soot, you will receive the avatar.


If my pet is zapped into a pile of soot, will it disappear from my pet?
No, it won't. It will stay as a pile of soot on your petpet and you will have the ability to continue zapping your petpet just as if it were only an exclusive color or species of petpet. If you want your petpet back, detach your petpet and reattach again. DO NOT MESS WITH IT IF YOU HAVE A PETPETPET UNLESS YOU WISH TO DELETE IT.
How much is the whole set?
Each piece is about 2-4k each. That equals up to about 35k-40k a set, depending on the person..
How much is the NP bonus?
I got 8k from it. You may want to ask others what their prize was as it may be different. I'll update this soon if there is a firm average.

Help! My petpet can't be zapped. It won't let me click/select it. Why?
Did you name your petpet? It must be named in order to be able to zap it. You can even name it Q if you want.

My petpet just disappeared into thin air!! What the?!
Yes, sadly, it is possible for your petpet to be disintegrated by the petpet labray. So don't go off and zap your faerie snowickle because it IS possible and you cannot get it back. The best decision is to zap something cheap like a regular abominable snowball (they run for about 1.5-2k in most shops)

I OFFICIALLY HAVE THE PETPET LABRAY, SO YES I DO KNOW ANSWERS, I am only answering common sense questions in bulk to keep spam a bit more off the boards.
